Picture challange
It would seem that I've been challanged to upload the sixth picture in the sixth folder of my pictures-folder (I don't keep my pics in My Pictures) so here it is.
Dad and grandmother(mormor) catching their breath after moving some new furniture into my new appartment, shockingly enough I haven't moved from this one yet.

And then to keep this challange-thingy going... Jenni, Anders, Vitkor, Jonas, Jenny
Today finally the curtains came up, and the lok goooood :)

Keyforward
My latest home coding project is working :) It's a program (well, programs) that forwards global hotkeys from one client to another over the network.
It consists of two parts, a client on the computer the keyboard is connected to and a program on the computer you want the keyboards to be sent to. Then you register the global hotkeys you want to send(for example control+shift+home) and connect the client. Then whenever you press that hotkey it's sent to the other computer and any programs that has registered that global hotkey act as if they had been pressed on that computer.
Usable? for anything? Well, normally by home coding projects are mostly useless but this one i actually use myself. I'm running a music player on a computer in my closet and have set up certain global hotkeys for common actions (play/pause, next song, previous song etc) there. Then I use my program to send the keystrokes from the computer in my living room to the one in the closet, controlling the music player. This way I don't have to see the player, don't have to use VNC or something else. I control it the same way I did when the player was running on this machine.

Being a single guy
Being a single guy was quite fittingly described by Barney Stinson
"No, it's not like being in a candy store. It's a lawless post-apocalyptic wasteland. Every hombre for himself."

To Pay or not to pay
This principle of guys paying for dinner when they go on a date with a girl has gotten way more complicated, it used to be easy, If you are a guy you pay. Now it might upset her because
To summarise the problem: "peh..."
And to finish off this whiny post on a lighter note a nice quote; "Would you like some cheese with that whine"
- it's an expression of the archaic patriarchal society repressing the freedom of women, including the freedom to pay. She's a 21th century girl/woman and can take care of her self.
- she doesn't want to feel like she owes anything to the guy, likes to feel independent.
- she might interpret it as if the guy is trying to pay her for sex
- to quoute a friend "she's a grownup, not a baby"
- he's rude, haven't been brought up properly
- he doesn't know how to take care of a girl

Varför?
GAH!

New bond
On sunday I went to see the new Bond movie...damn that was a big misstake. I really liked the previous movie, Casino Royale, for once had they updated both the character and not just the toys. A more raw than previous bond characters.
Now on the other hand he was more like Pierce Brosnan, a bit on the slimy side for some periods of the movie. Didn't like the new bond character at all.
And they had completely ruined the movie by cutting all the action scenes into shreds. Probably to give the viewer a feeling of everything happening fast and at once, but it just meant that I didn't have a clue what was going on, the scene in the building rig could give anybody an epilepsy attack...
Edit
I found a blog post about the new bond movie that's worth a read; http://www.juancole.com/2008/11/quantum-of-anti-imperialism.html
I hadn't really tought of it that way, for me the US tend to be the bad guys in the real world quite often. But then there aren't alot of good guys in the real world.
